Quick answer
Most delayed withdrawals are caused by an unverified account, a name that does not match your EcoCash or bank account, an active bonus with unfinished wagering, a manual security review, or a delay at the payment provider. Check those first, then contact the bookmaker's official support with your transaction details.

First, how long is "normal"?
Each bookmaker sets its own processing times. Some say mobile money withdrawals are processed automatically within minutes; others say requests can take hours or a few days, especially the first time or for large amounts. Look in the bookmaker's terms, FAQ or withdrawal page for its stated time before assuming something is wrong.
The most common reasons
1. Your account is not verified
Bookmakers must check who their customers are. Many ask for an ID document (national ID or passport) and sometimes proof of address before your first withdrawal, or before withdrawals above a certain amount. Until verification is complete, withdrawals can sit in "pending". See common account verification problems.
2. The name does not match
If your betting account is in one name and the EcoCash, InnBucks or bank account receiving the money is in another, most bookmakers will hold or reject the payment. This protects against fraud. Withdraw only to an account in your own name, ideally the same one you deposited with.
3. A bonus is still active
Bonus money usually has wagering requirements. Requesting a withdrawal while a bonus is active can cancel the bonus, or the bookmaker may hold the withdrawal until the rules are met. Read the bonus terms.
4. Your deposit was not used for betting
Some bookmakers' terms charge a fee, or ask questions, if you deposit and then withdraw without betting. This is an anti-money-laundering rule. For example, one Zimbabwean bookmaker's terms we checked charge 10% on un-wagered deposits that are withdrawn.
5. Security or "manual" review
Large wins, unusual betting patterns, several accounts on one device or changes to your payment details can trigger a manual check. These checks are normal but take time.
6. Payment provider delays
Mobile money networks and banks occasionally have outages or slow processing, especially at month-end, weekends and public holidays. The bookmaker may have sent the money while the network has not yet delivered it.
7. Limits
Bookmakers set minimum and maximum withdrawal amounts and sometimes daily limits. A request above the daily maximum may be held or split.
What to do: a checklist
- Check the status in your account's transaction or withdrawal history. Note the date, time, amount and any reference number.
- Check your verification status and upload any requested documents clearly.
- Confirm the receiving number or account is correct and in your name.
- Check for active bonuses and their rules.
- Wait for the stated processing time to pass.
- Contact the bookmaker's official support (from its website or app, not from social media comments). Give your user ID, the withdrawal reference, amount, date and the receiving number. See how to contact bookmaker customer support.
- Keep records: screenshots and messages.
- If the bookmaker does not resolve it, see how to report a bookmaker complaint.
Summary
Most delays come from verification, name mismatches, bonuses, reviews or payment network problems. Check each one, then contact official support with full transaction details. Our general guide to withdrawing betting winnings explains how to avoid delays in the first place.
